Former Zamfara State Governor and Senator representing Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has declared that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will reclaim power in the state in 2027.

Yari stated this while addressing party stakeholders at his residence in Talata Mafara on Saturday, insisting that the APC cannot be described as an opposition party in Zamfara given its national relevance and political strength.

“Our presence here is to strengthen confidence among members and remind them that APC remains the ruling party in Nigeria. By 2027, we will return to lead Zamfara State. We cannot continue to be called the opposition,” Yari said.

Also speaking, the state APC chairman, Umar Tukur Danfulani, urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s success ahead of the next general elections.

The meeting, attended by thousands of party loyalists, reaffirmed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership in the state.

Prominent figures present included Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle; Senator Sahabi Ya’u (Zamfara North); Hon. Abdulmalik Zannan-Bungudu; Hon. Sulaiman Abubakar Gumi; and former deputy governors Ibrahim Wakala, Muktar Ahmed Anka, and Hassan Muhammad Nasiha.
