Arsenal arrive for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur, fully aware of what they need to do, especially with the results their Premier League title rivals recorded on Saturday.

Champions Liverpool were thrashed 3-0 at Anfield by relegation-battling Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City would have been one point behind Arsenal if they had won at Newcastle. Instead, they lost 2-1.

However, Chelsea strolled to a comfortable 2-0 win at Burnley and are now six points behind the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta will be drumming it into his boys that a win in the North London Derby will only strengthen their spot at the top as they go into a hectic period of fixtures.

The last time out, Brian Brobbey denied Arsenal victory with a late equalizer for Sunderland.

But with City and Liverpool dropping points, it is time for Arsenal to begin to pull away.

It won’t be an easy game.

Spurs are the only team that have not lost away from home this season, and they look a more solid outfit under Thomas Frank.

They have picked up an impressive 13 points from 15 available on the road this term.

North London has been red ever since Spurs’ home victory against Arteta’s men in 2022, as the Gunners have prevailed in five of their six battles since then and could now win four NLDs in a row for the first time in the Premier League era.
