The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has labelled the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, the ‘greatest threat’ to Nigerian democracy.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, made this statement on Friday during an interview on Arise Television, monitored by DAILY POST.

“APC today represents the greatest threat to Nigerian democracy. You can see it in what they are doing a couple of days back. Some people came aboard and they say they are challenging this or that.

“They’re asking INEC to deregister ADC on some funny grounds. But we know where that is coming from. The individuals involved in that, we know them. We know who they work for.

“The APC has done everything to destabilise opposition party; from PDP to Labour Party, SDP, ADC and so on.

“If we are not careful, if we don’t build an alternative political platform, Nigeria is inevitably leading towards a one-party state, and that is what this government is doing,” he said.
