A major security and legal storm is brewing following explosive allegations by prominent businessman, Engr. Dr. Stephen Achema Akpa, who has accused Aliyu Abdulrazak of unlawfully taking possession of his luxury vehicles and Japheth Gondo of allegedly stealing his international passport, developments observers describe as a disturbing pattern of coordinated misconduct.

According to information obtained by this newspaper, Engr. Akpa raised the alarm over the alleged seizure of his Maybach vehicle and a black Toyota Camry by Aliyu Abdulrazak, reportedly without authorization, legal backing, or contractual consent. Sources close to the matter insist that no court order, transfer agreement, or legitimate transaction exists to justify the alleged actions.

Investigations further reveal that the incident has triggered internal reviews of security logs, access records, and transaction histories in an effort to reconstruct the chain of events and identify possible accomplices.

“This is not a misunderstanding; it is an alleged case of unlawful asset takeover,” a senior associate familiar with the situation disclosed. “The vehicles were neither sold nor transferred, nor were they voluntarily released.” In a parallel development that has raised even more serious concerns, Engr. Akpa also alleged that Japheth Gondo forcefully took possession of his international passport on Tuesday. Security analysts warn that the unlawful possession of a passport constitutes a high-risk offence with implications for identity fraud, cross-border crime, and national security.

A security source told this medium that the theft of a passport “goes beyond personal loss and enters the realm of criminal and national security violations.”

Legal experts consulted by this newspaper stated that, if proven, the allegations could attract multiple criminal charges, including theft, unlawful conversion of property, identity document theft, exposure to impersonation risks, and conspiracy-related offences.

Observers say the case exposes growing vulnerabilities faced by high-profile individuals in Nigeria, particularly concerning asset protection and personal document security. It also raises broader questions about enforcement gaps and the ease with which sensitive personal and corporate assets can be unlawfully accessed.

Repeated attempts by this newspaper to reach Aliyu Abdulrazak and Japheth Gondo for comment were unsuccessful as of press time. Their silence has further intensified public speculation surrounding the allegations.

Meanwhile, close associates of Engr. Akpa confirmed that he is fully cooperating with security agencies and remains determined to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion.

“This is about justice, accountability, and deterrence,” a source said. “Allowing this to slide would set a dangerous precedent.”

As investigations deepen, the unfolding situation is expected to test the responsiveness of Nigeria’s security architecture and legal institutions in handling high-profile asset and identity-related allegations.

This newspaper will continue to monitor developments and publish verified updates as the investigation progresses.
