Prof. Hakeem Ibikunle Tijani has called on Nigerians in the diaspora to leverage the Trans-border Education Policy and Diaspora Bridge Hub to boost Nigeria’s development. Speaking at the APC Economic Summit 2026 in New York, Tijani emphasized the need for Nigerians abroad to share expertise, collaborate with local institutions, and set up skills centers.

Tijani urged APC members to “Japada” (get involved) and contribute to the Renewed Hope Initiatives, citing his own example. He also launched The Renewed Hope Academic Forum, inviting academics to join, alongside Prof. Dozie Atounwu.
The event saw representation from APC’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, including Chief Emma Nweuku, Mustapha Bala, and Dr. Peace Longdet, who praised diaspora APC members’ commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 success. Ambassador Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye appealed for women’s opportunities, while Prof. Balofin noted party membership progress.
