Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has earned praise from the Renewed Hope Academics Forum (RHAF) for resolving the prolonged standoff between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government.
RHAF hailed Tinubu’s administration for showing “uncommon political will, sincerity of purpose, and a deep understanding of education’s strategic importance to national development”. The breakthrough is seen as a key milestone in Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at rebuilding public trust, investing in human capital, and driving growth through education and innovation.

“President Tinubu’s approach has restored hope and stability to Nigeria’s universities,” RHAF said in a statement signed by Dr. Chidozie Atuonwu. The group commended Tinubu for treating academics as partners, not adversaries.
The ASUU deal is expected to bring uninterrupted academic calendars, improved research, and global competitiveness to Nigerian universities. RHAF urged stakeholders to sustain dialogue and cooperation to drive Nigeria’s education forward.
