Armed bandits have reportedly imposed a curfew and demanded a N30 million levy from residents of Bilbis town in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

This was disclosed by security analyst Bakatsine.

According to the post, the town is the hometown of Senator Ikira Aliyu Bilbis, who represents Zamfara Central Senatorial District.

The post reads “ZAMFARA UNDER SIEGE: Armed bandits have imposed a curfew and a ₦30 million levy on residents of Bilbis town in Tsafe LGA, Zamfara State.

“The community, a hometown of Senator Ikira Aliyu Bilbis, who currently represents Zamfara Central Senatorial District. Residents are reportedly living in fear after gunmen ordered them indoors and enforced a lockdown until the demanded payment is made.”
