NPFL hammers Bendel Insurance, Boboye over misconduct

Bendel Insurance technical adviser, Kennedy Boboye has been suspended for 17 matches for exhibiting gross misconduct in the matchday 32 encounter against Bendel Insurance.

The Benin Arsenals also received a fine of N7million for failing to provide adequate security in the game at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday.

According to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Bendel Insurance supporters displayed unsporting behaviour capable of bringing the game to disrepute.

Bendel Insurance have been ordered to play their next three home matches in the NPFL without fans.

The Benin Arsenals have the right to appeal the decision by the league body.

DAILY POST reports that Bendel Insurance were held to a 2-2 draw by Plateau United.
