The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has criticised the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing the party of engaging in illegality.

Onanuga warned that continued disregard for legal processes could have consequences.

He was reacting to ADC’s decision to continue with its national convention despite the declaration of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

ADC’s spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi had said the party’s National Congress would proceed as planned despite the deregistration by INEC.

Posting the timetable of the congresses on X, Abdullahi wrote: “This is to notify all members of the ADC that despite the illegal actions of @inecnigeria, the ADC congresses will continue as follows.”

Reacting, Onanuga wrote: “Just continue your illegality, the lawless ADC. The dog that wants to get lost in the forest will ignore the hunter’s whistle,” he said.
