The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Olu Olukoyede, has assured whistleblowers of incentives for every loot recovered through information they provide.

In a video, the EFCC Chairman also assured whistleblowers of adequate protection.

He said: “You must have a credible and actionable source of intelligence, so I welcome all of you to the world of whistle-blowing.

“I welcome all of you to the world of whistle-blowing. If you know where a Nigerian asset has been stolen or taken anywhere in the world, we have an incentive for you. Between 2.5% and 5% will go back to you upon recovery.

“That incentive was put in place to encourage people to come forward and give information about stolen assets.”
