The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ekiti State Command, has promoted and decorated 104 personnel, comprising 25 officers and 79 other ranks, with a charge to uphold professionalism, discipline and road safety.

The personnel were decorated during two separate ceremonies held at the Command Headquarters and various Unit Commands across the state.

Decorating the newly promoted personnel, the Sector Commander, FRSC Ekiti State Command, Sanya Adeoye, congratulated the beneficiaries and commended the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for approving their promotions.

Adeoye urged the promoted personnel to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Corps by demonstrating professionalism and dedication in their responsibilities.

He noted that the new ranks came with greater responsibilities, urging the personnel to uphold the ideals of the founding fathers of the FRSC by maintaining discipline, rejecting corruption and adhering to professional standards.

The Sector Commander also charged them to remain committed to the Corps’ core mandate of reducing road traffic crashes to the barest minimum and promoting a sustainable road safety culture among Nigerians.

According to Adeoye, “promotion is from God,” adding that personnel who were not promoted in the latest exercise should remain committed to their duties and continue to give their best, as their time would come.

He further appealed to motorists and other road users to strictly obey traffic rules and regulations, particularly as the country approaches the ember months, when vehicular movement typically increases.
