Popular Nigerian activist, Omoyele Sowore on Thursday joined a protest in New York, United States calling for an end to the genocidal war in Gaza.
Sowore, one of the 2027 presidential candidates, disclosed this in a post he shared on his official X handle on Friday.
The activist condemned alleged abuse of human rights by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a humanitarian crisis surge in Gaza.
“Yes, today in New York, I joined the Free Palestine protest. No justice, no peace! #FreePalestine!
“I condemn the genocide being committed by the state of Israel in Gaza.
“I joined to make it clear that Nigerians stand for justice and human rights for Palestinians”, Sowore wrote.
DAILY POST reports that multiple protests against Netanyahu took place in New York on Thursday as the Israeli Prime Minister addressed the United Nations General Assembly.
It was gathered that more than 100 people were arrested during the protest as thousands of demonstrators demanded accountability over Israel’s war on Gaza and an end to United States military support.
