Nigerians on social media have reacted to the Super Eagles’ 3-3 international friendly draw against Russia.
The Super Eagles came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 against Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod.
Goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Peter Edokpolor and Akor Adams ensured Eric Chelle’s men secured a draw against the hosts.
Lechi Sadulaev, Matvey Kislyak and Aleksei Miranchuk scored for Russia.
Reacting to the result, some Nigerians expressed delight that the Super Eagles avoided defeat against Russia following their shock 3-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau in the AFCON qualifier a few days ago, while others praised Chelle’s men for putting up a strong performance.

@IamDx2: “That number 11 took the game personally upon himself. Now Chukwueze needs to fight for shirt to get into the starting 11 of the national team. Thank you, Moses Simon, you did well skipo. Fredrick amid that number 5 omo them sabi defend they are our future. From 3-1 to 3-3. The boys are hungry.”

@Ankpa_Girl1: “Give other wingers opportunity to play and stop forcing Simon down our throats. Also, stop forcing a 4-4-2 diamond when you don’t have Osimhen, it never works.”
