The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, has mocked the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde over his recent “jump” comment in Akure, Ondo State.

Olayinka said Makinde should be ready to represent Nigeria at the 2028 Olympic Games scheduled for the United States, US.

Makinde had charged Nigerians to elect leaders who have the stamina and strength.

Speaking at APM’s town hall meeting in Akure, Makinde, who jumped down from the stage, said Nigerians should vote for candidates who can replicate the same.

The governor of Oyo State said he would focus on energy and the ability to withstand the demands of leadership rather than make age an issue ahead of the election.

Reacting, Olayinka posted on X: “And since Seyi Makinde, the Ibadan Gomina General and APoMu party’s Presidential Candidate for Iwo Road, Bodija and Ikolaba has shown that he can jump very well, he should be ready to represent Nigeria at the 2028 Olympic Games scheduled to take place in the USA.

“The Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, should take note. Ko ju bee lo.”
