The APC United States Chapter has called on Nigerians to engage the government in dialogue rather than protest. In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday July 29, 2024, and signed by the National Chairman Professor Adesegun Labinjo and the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ismaila Maigyara, the Chapter expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his team and advised Nigerians especially the youth to be patient with the President in his efforts to reposition the country for a sustainable economic development and growth.

“Nothing is more democratic than citizens echoing their frustrations over high cost of living . Indeed, the essential element of good democracy is the freedom to organize and present grievances to the government for action and peaceful resolution. There is no harm in young Nigerians trying to address what they feel as challenges facing them and the country, and demand dividends of democracy but they must do that peacefully and engage in intellectual and substantive dialogue”.
