CHAN: DR Congo latest country to be booted out of competition

DR Congo have now joined the list of eight other countries booted from the ongoing CAF African Nations Championship, CHAN.

The eight other countries are Mauritania, Guinea, Niger Republic, Burkina Faso, Angola, the Central African Republic, Zambia and Nigeria.

DR Congo became the latest team to exit CHAN after they lost 3-1 against Morocco on Sunday.

The outcome of the result means, Kenya, who also defeated Zambia 1-0 on Sunday, finished top of Group A with 10 points from four games, followed by Morocco in second position with 9 points from the same number of games.

DR Congo are in third position in Group A with 6 points from four games, followed by Angola (fourth) with 4 points and Zambia (fifth)with zero point.
Meanwhile, more group stage matches will take place, Monday.
