The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has declared that more than 80% of examination malpractice is being championed by parents.
The Chairman, Special Committee on Exam Malpractice, JAMB, Jake Epelle, made this statement on Wednesday, while responding to questions in an interview on ‘The Morning’ a programme on Arise Television.
“Our educational sector is deeply troubled; many children today are wandering around with fraudulent certificates.
“Parents bear significant responsibility, as 80% of examination malpractice is instigated by them. Often, these same parents who take to social media to complain about how their children are treated are being disingenuous.
“When their claims are proven false upon further investigation, they often end up begging for forgiveness privately. We must act swiftly to address this issue,” he said.
