The vice presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has lambasted governors elected under the All Progressives Congress, APC, stating that they are not in charge. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has asked the National Assembly to clarify the constitutional status of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following his prolonged absence from Nigeria. The opposition party questioned whether the constitutional procedure for transferring presidential functions had been followed after Tinubu stayed outside the country for more than 21 days. Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, is currently in a closed-door meeting with the national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Henry Seriake Dickson.
