Raphael Onyedika sustained an injury during Club Brugge’s 2-1 defeat to Union St.Gilloise in their Belgian Pro League clash on Sunday. Onyedika was replaced by captain Hans Vanaken in the 68th minute after sustaining the injury. Brugge will hope the Nigeria international’s injury is not serious as they seek to mount a title challenge in the final weeks of the campaign. The defensive midfielder is viewed as an important player for the former champions. Brugge remain in second position on the table with 38 points. A High Court in Kano has reaffirmed Abdullahi Abiya as the authentic chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the state, nullifying the earlier dissolution of the party’s leadership. At least, four persons have been confirmed dead following an attack by suspected armed herdsmen in Gwer West on Saturday evening, with several others reported missing. Lagos State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association has removed its Chairman, Babajide Saheed, following a decision reached at an Emergency General Meeting held on Saturday in Lagos.
