The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced venues and dates for the 2025 Women’s Championship. The women’s second-tier league, which is called the Championship, will be held in Abia State from September 11 to 21, 2025. The NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, confirmed this in a press release on Monday. The federal government said it plans fresh cash transfers to 2.2 million households in the country as the scheme gulped N419 billion.
