Bendel Insurance extended their unbeaten run to seven games following a 2-0 home win over Kwara United at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, on Saturday.

The hosts started the game strongly pinning Kwara United back.

The pressure paid off when Emmanuel Akpan fired home from inside the box after 19 minutes.

Imama Amapakabo’s side maintained their dominance, and got the second through Kayode Oke three minutes before the break.

Insurance moved to 11th position on the table following the win.

Kwara United remain in 12th position despite the defeat.

The remaining matchday 20 fixtures will be played on Sunday.
