Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has provided an injury update on striker Victor Osimhen, DAILY POST reports.

Osimhen sustained an injury in the first half of Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.

The 26-year-old was replaced by Panathinaikos’ new signing, Cyriel Dessers.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Chelle revealed that the Galatasaray striker will be assessed ahead of the game against South Africa.

“I can’t say much about Victor for now. He has pain in his ankle, we will see when he wake up tomorrow,” the Malian said.
