Super Eagles head coach, Éric Chelle has said it is important for his players to give their best against Lesotho, DAILY POST reports.
Nigeria will be up against the Crocodiles in a 2026 FIFA World World Cup qualifying matchday nine encounter on Friday.
The encounter will hold at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane.
A draw or defeat in the game could end the Super Eagles’ slim chances of qualifying for the global soccer fiesta.
Chelle declared that the Super Eagles must start the game with intensity and be aggressive.
“Everybody can’t go to the World Cup, in football anything can happen during the game because of the weather, referee’s error, and mistakes,” Chelle told a press conference in Polokwane on Thursday.
“We need to stay focused on what we want to achieve. What we want is to achieve victory.
“After that there will be another game. We are hundred percent focused on this game against Lesotho tomorrow. A good team with a good coach.
“We need to start well, focused on this game. We start to start with intensity and be aggressive as well.”
The game will kick-off at 5p.m. Nigerian time.
