The Africa Zone (CAF) qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 began on November 15, 2023 and will conclude in November 2025.

Nine countries from the continent are guaranteed to play in the tournament.

One more team will then take part in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.

So far, only Morocco and Tunisia have confirmed their spots at next year’s World Cup.

The remaining slots will be completed in the final two fixtures in the qualifying series within a fortnight.

But Egypt (Group A, 20 points), Senegal (Group B, 18 points), Benin Republic (Group C, 14 points), Cape Verde (Group D, 19 points), Cote d’Ivoire (Group F, 20 points), Algeria (Group G, 19 points) and Ghana (Group I, 19 points) are in prime position to finish top.
