Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reiterated his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress, APC, dismissing reports suggesting otherwise as false and misleading.

He made the clarification on Wednesday after inspecting the newly reconstructed Rivers State Psychiatric Hospital, which has been converted into a general hospital located in Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

Fubara said there was no truth in claims circulating on social media that he had shifted allegiance, stressing that he remains a committed member of the APC and fully aligned with the party’s interests.

He urged the public to disregard rumours and avoid misinterpretations of his political position.

On the hospital project, the governor explained that the decision to upgrade the facility was informed by the lack of accessible healthcare services in the area, following an earlier assessment visit.

He noted that residents previously had to travel long distances to access major treatment, with the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital being the closest option.

Fubara described the completion of the project as a fulfilment of his administration’s promise, adding that it reflects his commitment to delivering projects that directly improve healthcare and the well-being of people in Rivers State.
