Arsenal went top of the Champions League table with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

Both teams came into the Match Day 5 fixture with a perfect record, having not lost a single game between them so far.

Although the Bundesliga champions started the game strongly, it was the Gunners who took the lead, with Jurrien Timber heading in Bukayo Saka’s corner kick.

Lennart Karl levelled for Bayern. But in the second half, Arsenal turned on the style, with Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli scoring to seal the win.

Liverpool’s miserable season continued with a 3-1 defeat to PSV at Anfield, while Kylian Mbappe scored four goals as Real Madrid beat Olympiacos 5-2 in Greece.
