Presidential candidate of Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Engineer Seyi Makinde has alleged that the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections, Senator Sharafadeen Alli is planning to create tension among the residents through misleading statements.

Makinde made this revelation in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

The statement was made available to DAILY POST Tuesday evening.

Makinde is the governor of Oyo State. His second term is expected to end May next year.

But Makinde, in his reaction, dismissed the allegations.

Makinde in the statement explained that Alli’s aim is to create tension in the state through unverified claims.

He said that all decisions taken by his administration are guided by law.

Makinde while speaking further advised the APC candidate to desist from raising false alarms.

He added that such unverified claims could create tension among residents of the state.

Makinde in the statement said, “It is designed to create unnecessary anxiety among residents of Oyo State over a matter on which the government has neither taken any secret decision nor acted outside the law”.
