The member representing Ukwa East Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Lewis Obianyi, has alerted the Assembly about the discovery of lifeless bodies of six young girls inside a community farm.

The lawmaker, while presenting matters of urgent public importance at the Assembly on Tuesday, said the bodies were found on farmlands at Akrika Ukwu community.

Obianyi, who said the mutilated bodies of the young girls were discovered on March 23, 2026, informed the Abia State House of Assembly that the development has created fear among farmers and other villagers in Akrika Ukwu.

Lewis Obianyi urged the House to make urgent intervention through relevant security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators, whom he said are suspected ritualists.
