The Results of Monday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 fixtures are out.
DAILY POST reports that Nigeria thrashed Mozambique 4-0 in the AFCON Round of 16 tie played on Monday night to qualify for the quarter-final.
In the other Round of 16 clash played on Monday, Egypt won 3-1 against the Benin Republic to progress to the next stage.
Egypt will now face the winner between the Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals.
As for Nigeria, they will face the winner between DR Congo and Algeria in the last-8.
Meanwhile, more AFCON Round of 16 matches will be played on Tuesday.
DR Congo will clash with Algeria, while Burkina Faso will face the Ivory Coast.
