The naira recorded depreciation against the dollar on Thursday at the official foreign exchange market. The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the naira weakened slightly to N1,358.75 per dollar on Thursday from N1,357.26 traded on Wednesday. The Hunters Group of Nigeria has accused police officers in Yobe State of assaulting one of its members, leaving him injured and requiring hospital treatment. In a statement released on Thursday, the group said the incident occurred at about 2:30 pm on June 4.
