Benue farmer loses finger, suffers severe injuries in fresh herdsmen attack

A young farmer is battling for his life after being brutally attacked by suspected armed Fulani herdsmen at Tse-Iordye in Ndzorov Council Ward, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

The victim, who was working on his farm at the time of the incident, sustained severe injuries, including an amputated finger, deep cuts on his arm that severed veins, and significant head wounds.

Medical personnel attending to him confirmed that his condition remains critical, putting his chances of survival at “50-50.”

He was initially taken to the police divisional headquarters in Gbajimba before being transferred to a hospital, where doctors are battling to stabilize him.

Locals calls on both the state and federal governments to urgently intervene to end the recurring violence that has claimed many lives and displaced thousands in recent years.
