Chairman of Gboko Local Government Council, Barr. Torseer Yina, has announced the immediate dissolution of all standing committees in the council, including the market and task force committees.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ukpi Jacob, Yina explained that the move is aimed at promoting transparency and ensuring prudent management of the council’s resources.
He further directed that all official receipts currently in circulation be returned to the council’s store within 48 hours to enhance accountability in financial transactions.
According to the chairman, the decision shows his administration’s commitment to efficient governance and proper oversight of local government operations.
