Benue PDP suspends party spokesman

The Benue State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has suspended the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Tim Nyor, over gross violation of the party’s laid down principles, acts of insubordination, and anti-party activities.

According to a statement by the state secretary of the party, Comr. Dan Nyikwagh, the decision was reached on Friday, February 20, 2026, during the committee’s meeting which held at the party’s state secretariat in Makurdi.

He said the suspension is in strict compliance with the provisions of Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (2017, as amended.)

Comr. Nyikwa said the suspension takes immediate effect and will subsist for a period of one month, pending the conclusion of investigations and any further decisions that may be taken by the party in accordance with its constitutional guidelines.

He said during the period of suspension, Hon. Nyor is barred from participating in any party activities at all levels.

According to the statement, the State Working Committee reiterates its commitment to discipline, internal democracy, and adherence to the party’s constitution.
