Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro has revealed that she broke down in tears after her son left the Portugal national team camp last week.

Dolores has spoken for the first time about her “shock” over the incident.

Ronaldo left camp after he was left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes of their 2-1 victory in Norway in the UEFA Nations League camp.

The 41-year-old has now claimed that he left the camp due to a “breach of trust” between him and head coach, Jorge Jesus.

“I feel sad, it’s normal. It was a shock, my son could have left through the main door and instead he left through the small door, but it’s okay, God will take care of it,” Dolores Aveiro said in a statement to TV 7 Dias.
