Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca has claimed that his team is better than last season.

According to the Italian gaffer, the Blues are closer in terms of the Premier League title race this season.

Maresca, who spoke at his post-match interview after Chelsea’s Premier League 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, said the Premier League west London club is in the right direction.

Recall that two goals from Trevor Chalobah and Mikel Arteta ensured both Chelsea and Arsenal played a draw at Stamford Bridge.

“We are better than last season. We are closer,” Maresca said after the game.

“We will see where we are in February/March. And then we will assess our target.

“We showed we are heading in the right direction. I always say the same. The performance has been fantastic.”

The outcome of the match means Chelsea are now in third position on the Premier League table with six points behind leaders Arsenal after 13 games.
