Reactions are trailing the elimination of the world’s most active terrorist in Nigeria, as announced by the US President, Donald Trump.

DAILY POST reports that Trump in a Truth Social post on Saturday morning, said the terrorist identified as Abu-Bilal al-Minuki was killed on Friday night following brave operations by the American forces and the Armed Forces of Nigeria as directed by him.

According to him, the terrorist is second in command of ISIS globally, and has been terrorising Africans.

Reacting, the African Democratic Congress, ADC mobilization platform, ADC Vanguard said in an X post that the Nigerian Army could tackle the security crisis when “properly supported”.

The post reads, “This is the kind of news that should remind every Nigerian that our military, when properly supported, equipped, coordinated, and backed with solid intelligence, can deliver results that shake even global terror networks”.

Also, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC Ayekooto Akindele in a Facebook post, expressed excitement that the terrorist, who “has been living in Nigeria”, is finally out.

He wrote, “ISIS number 2 man in the World has been living in Nigeria. He has just been killed by US/Nigerian forces. Say no to terrorism”.

However, a social media influencer, @Millishield01 questioned why the Nigerian Forces had no prior knowledge of the terrorist’s operation on Nigeria.
