Four members of the Senate have officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), DAILY POST reports.

The senators include Senators Ikra Bilbis, representing Zamfara Central, Aminu Iya Abbas, representing Adamawa Central, Amos Yohanna, representing Adamawa North and Ipalibo Harry Banigo, representing Rivers west senatorial district.

Their defections were formally announced during Wednesday’s plenary session, where the president of the senate, Godswill Akpabio, read their notices on the floor.

DAILY POST recalls that this comes after four members of the House of Representatives defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Labour Party, LP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
