The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has constituted a high-level consensus committee on party harmonisation and aspirants’ engagement, headed by Dr Hadiza Balarabe, the deputy governor of the state, to strengthen internal democracy and sustain unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of forthcoming elections.

The committee will interface with aspirants, party leaders, and other critical stakeholders to facilitate amicable resolutions in constituencies where multiple interests exist.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, he said the initiative is aimed at fostering mutual understanding, political stability, and consensus-building within the party.

According to the statement, the committee will deepen mediation and constructive engagement among aspirants and stakeholders across the state, adding that it will encourage voluntary withdrawals where necessary in the broader interest of party harmony and electoral success.
