Kogi commissioner for solid mineral, Hon. Bashir Gegu placed twins demand before the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
In an interactive session with news men in Lokoja the state headquarter, the commissioner for solid mineral demands immediate resignation of the NSA or an improvement of the security situations across the country, the later he affirmed is impossible under Nuhu Ribadu.
He furthered expressed his opinion on the state of security in Nigeria with the following lines.
The Nigeria state is bedevilled with incompetent NSA whose the affairs of the country situation is never his business since his assumption in office. The security situations has worsen without template to curbed the situation.
The obviously confused Ribadu has failed the test of time and of competency haven spent months in office without plans to keep Nigeria and Nigerians safe. He should be relieved of his duty immediately.
The furious commissioner didn’t spare words on the personality and the office of th NSA as he likened his steps towards security issues and insecurity to a snail high speed that doesn’t match the security demands on ground.
He advised the president to sack the NSA for the interest of the nation. The call for sack according to him is overdue and we cannot fold hands and close eyes to continue on the path that will lead us to doom. The security architecture of the nation need urgent rejiging and this must begin by letting Nuhu Ribadu go home immediately.
He called the attention of the press members to several kidnapping cases within the state. We had called him severally to help our helpless situation in kogi state. We can’t no longer sleep with our eyes closed. People can’t no longer travel freely within the state. Travellers are victims of kidnapping and arm robbery. This several calls he had paved dear ears to without action..
Conclusively, I strongly believe that, the sack of Ribadu will mark the beginning of our safety and an end to insecurity in Nigeria.
