The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Niger State has opened its doors to female political aspirants from the three senatorial zones, encouraging them to contest positions ranging from local government councillorship to seats in the Niger State House of Assembly.
State chairman, Alhaji Musa Hassan, who disclosed this in Minna, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to inclusivity, particularly for women and persons with disabilities. According to him, these groups constitute a significant portion of the population and play vital roles in national development.
The ADC chairman also expressed concern over the country’s worsening insecurity and unemployment, noting that many Nigerians have turned to commercial tricycle and taxi operations as alternative means of livelihood.
“The party is developing policies to address these economic challenges and transform the nation,” he stated.
Musa criticised the current administration for its inability to resolve persistent challenges in the power and education sectors despite abundant resources, adding that ADC possesses the vision and leadership capacity to drive national transformation if given the mandate in 2027.
He urged citizens to remain hopeful and ensure they obtain their Permanent voter cards to exercise their democratic rights during the elections.
“The same Almighty who gave the current administration power can also grant it to the ADC in 2027,” he remarked.
