The Northern Alliance for Credible Leadership (NACL) warmly congratulates His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, on his appointment as Director-General of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 Election. The appointment is a significant recognition of Senator Yari’s extensive political experience, leadership capacity, grassroots engagement and longstanding participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.
As a former Governor of Zamfara State, former Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and serving Senator representing Zamfara West, Senator Yari brings considerable experience in political organisation, stakeholder engagement, governance and national leadership to this important responsibility.
We recognize the enormous responsibility associated with coordinating a national campaign structure involving diverse stakeholders across Nigeria’s states, communities and political constituencies. We therefore wish Senator Yari wisdom, strength, sound judgement and the capacity to provide effective leadership throughout the assignment.
Our organisation remains committed to constructive engagement with his leadership and with relevant democratic institutions in areas that promote peaceful participation, responsible political mobilization, national unity, inclusion and meaningful engagement with citizens.
We are equally prepared to maintain a productive working relationship with the office of the Director-General and to contribute, where appropriate and within the objectives of our organisation, to stakeholder coordination, grassroots engagement and initiatives that strengthen peaceful and credible democratic participation.
We believe that political leadership at this level requires discipline, consultation, inclusiveness and an ability to bring together people of different backgrounds and interests around clearly defined national objectives. We trust that Senator Yari’s experience will be brought to bear in the discharge of this responsibility.
