The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Federal Capital Territory Command, has arrested four suspects in connection with the alleged vandalism of electrical installations in parts of Abuja.

According to the commandant, “the suspects were apprehended during separate intelligence-led operations in Abaji, Jahi and Bwari, with operatives recovering armoured cables, electrical installations and other materials suspected to have been stolen.”

The FCT Commandant of the NSCDC, Olusola Odumosu, disclosed the arrests, noting that the command had recorded several operational successes in recent weeks.

He reiterated the corps’ commitment to safeguarding public infrastructure across the FCT and neighbouring communities, warning that the command would not relent in its efforts to tackle the vandalism of critical assets.

Odumosu urged those involved in the destruction and theft of public infrastructure to desist from the act, adding that the corps would sustain its operations to apprehend perpetrators and bring them to justice.
