The Senate Committee on Communications has successfully concluded the screening of nominees for appointment to the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission NCC, led by Chairman-Designate Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe.

During his screening, Mr Olorunnimbe emphasized his commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through a regulatory environment that deepens broadband penetration, strengthens digital inclusion, protects consumers, and unlocks investment across Nigeria’s telecom and digital economy sectors.

Olorunnimbe, who is the founder and Group Chief Executive of The Temple Company, said he will bring to the role a proven record of strategic leadership, innovation, and institution-building across multiple sectors.

He is an accomplished entrepreneur, lawyer and public policy advocate. He holds executive education credentials from Harvard Business School, Oxford University, University of Cambridge, and Henley.
