Suspected political thugs have attacked the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Sowore disclosed this in a brief statement posted on his official Facebook page on Friday, saying the attack occurred inside a restaurant.

“Thugs just attacked us inside a restaurant in Ado Ekiti,” the activist wrote.

Efforts by DAILY POST to confirm the alleged incident from the Ekiti State Police Command were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

The alleged attack comes amid a series of attacks on politicians as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum across the country.
