Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, have dismantled a kidnap syndicate that had been terrorising residents in Magumeri area of Borno State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a post on Friday, saying the operation was carried out on September 25 and led to the arrest of two suspects identified as Isa Adamu, 20, and Lawal Adamu, 45.

According to him, the gang was linked to the abduction of one Mallam Kolo Bukar in August.

They had earlier collected a ransom of ₦5 million and later demanded an additional ₦10 million before troops moved in.

The army said the operation restored calm to the Bornu Yesu Gen axis, where the gang had been operating.
