Troops of the Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE have raided the hideout of a notorious bandit at Rawaya Village, near Kazok in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, recovering a cache of arms and ammunition.

Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, Media Information Officer for Operation ENDURING PEACE, disclosed this in a statement, noting that the operation followed credible intelligence reports about the stockpiling of weapons by bandits in Barkin Ladi.

According to the statement, the suspect fled as troops advanced on the location. A thorough search of the hideout led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, one G3 rifle, one revolver pistol, four AK-47 rifle magazines, three G3 rifle magazines, 1,198 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, four rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition, three mobile phones, and other sundry items.
