DAILY POST reports that the Democrats secured a resounding victory in Tuesday’s midterm elections, winning control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The victory saw the party displace Trump’s Republican Party from control of Congress, raising concerns among the president’s supporters that Democrats could move to impeach him.

However, speaking during an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, Trump said an attempt to impeach him would destroy the Democratic Party.

“Impeachment for no reason… What, for having a successful country? Our country is more successful now than at any time in its history,” Trump claimed.
