Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted two shipments of synthetic cannabis, popularly known as Colorado or Colos, concealed in consolidated cargoes from the United Kingdom. The agency also recovered two other consignments of Colorado hidden inside music speakers at two motor parks in Lagos, with at least seven suspects arrested in connection with the seizures. The Ogun State Police Command has recovered a stolen 2016 Toyota Camry at a hotel in Ifo, less than eight hours after it was reported stolen. The vehicle, belonging to an Indian national based at the Ilupeju Industrial Estate, Lagos, was allegedly stolen on Wednesday by his driver, Waidi Olaide Kolawale, who was employed two days earlier. The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 53-year-old man, Gambo Hassan, also known as “Anahaka,” over alleged involvement in multiple cases of kidnapping, rape, armed robbery and unlawful possession of an offensive weapon in Bauchi metropolis. Suspected bandits have reportedly abducted several Islamic clerics who attended a prayer gathering at the residence of Senator Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
