Two people sustained injuries of varying severity in a collision involving two trucks at the Arepo Bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the early hours of Sunday.

The crash, which occurred at approximately 4 am, involved an empty American Cola truck and a Seaco truck.

The incident caused major traffic congestion along the busy route, prompting officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, to intervene and coordinate the removal of the stranded vehicles.

Eyewitnesses reported that one of the drivers was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries, while the second driver sustained minor wounds.

Mrs Ibukun Victoria, who witnessed the accident, confirmed the severity of the injuries.
