The Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board has released more than N1.4 billion in pension and related benefits to 564 beneficiaries in the state. The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Binyaminu Shitu Aminu, made this known during a briefing with journalists on Monday. He explained that the approved sum of N1,429,201,208.92 covers retirement benefits, death benefits, and outstanding death pension balances.
